Training For Excellence (TFE) was established in 2001 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides professional life skills, job readiness, and leadership development programs. The programs are geared to empower the clients with knowledge to become productive citizens, to improve their economic status and to make life better for themselves and their families.

The workshops within each phase are designed to satisfy the fundamental principles of growth development: awareness, knowledge, skill, and the ability to form relationships. In doing so, we are not only providing a professional training experience and employment opportunities, but we are creating long-term change in individuals and families. As it stands, many families of low income and lack of education are living in impoverished neighborhoods and they have great difficulty being role models for their children and giving them hope for the future.

The four programs are as follows: Job Readiness Program, Women’s Leadership Development Program, Men’s Leadership Development Program, and Teen Mentoring Leadership Development Program. All of which have been researched for the greatest psychological effectiveness and have been planned with cultural sensitivity in mind. These programs operate on an annual basis through partnerships and collaborative efforts with other non-profit organizations and corporations.
